New Orleans Fashion Week took place last week and 100% exceeded my expectations! The quality of the designers, the breathtaking venues, and the organized production staff all made for a week of events that made me want to come back next season. Watch and see for yourself the magic of NOLA Fashion Week:

Want more?? Here’s a quick recap:
Camrich Mann showcased his S/S12 luxury athletic inspired lounge wear at the amazing Martine Chaisson Gallery. His edited collection was comprised of tailored trousers and tees that looked effortlessly relaxed.
Andrea Loest also showcased her S/S12 collection at the Martine Chaisson Gallery. Her color palette was quite refreshing and reflected the color trend I saw at NYFW. Btw I cannot say enough good things about this gallery space. WOW. I wanted to move in with the spiraling staircase, the marble floors, and the gigantic fireplaces.
Night one of NOLA Fashion Week! I’m sporting a Factory tee & leather tiered dress, Jenni Kayne teal suede booties, Kate Moss for Topshop sequin cardigan, stacked bracelets, vintage Gucci watch, and a Chanel handbag.
We popped into the nearby Capdeville restaurant for a late night dinner post presentations. DELICIOUS! I recommend the fish tacos & banana caramel bread pudding!
Night two of NOLA Fashion Week started with the impressive high school design duo, Rogersliu. The modern womenswear collection was both effortless and chic. The draping and printed fabrics were well executed. All in all an amazing show for such a young team!
The Patrick Taylor Library in the Ogden Museum of Southern Art was another phenomenal venue for the runway shows! The exposed brick contrasted with the stone and wooden walls was made dramatic with the flying buttresses that encircled the dome-like ceiling of one of the wings where we mixed & mingled before the shows began.
The Rogersliu design duo!
For the 2nd night of NOLA Fashion Week I wore a Zara yellow dress, vintage beaded belt, Chloe heels, costume lucite necklace, and vintage Celine purse.
NOLA Fashion Week would not be complete without a best dressed of the night. Our Southern Hommes were these 2 dapper guys sporting tailored blazers with jeans, always a great look! And Shawn Nelson, a Louisiana boy who now plays for the New York Jets, had on a divine cashmere sport coat with his monogram! I also love his pocket square and gorgeous watch. Well done guys!
More to come from NOLA Fashion Week! Stay tuned this week for designer interviews and more great Southern collections!
