Who else longs for the weekends after a busy work week? During this time of year, the weekends become busier, but the fun kind! From shopping for presents to various holiday parties, my calendar keeps getting fuller (and I actually love it!). Dressing for these occasions do not have to be tricky as long as you understand outfit formulas. One element I like to include when putting together an ensemble is a third piece. A fun jacket, wrap, vest or scarf create a polished and complete look. You’ll see this style trick in the outfits below.
Outfit 1: Holiday Shopping
When running errands during the holidays, I like to keep it comfy yet chic. My faux leather culotes and leopard vest are both comfortable, easy to move in and stylish. Add a touch of color with a cozy tee or turtleneck to make this outfit festive.
Outfit 2: Casual Holiday Party
I have a few holiday parties on the calendar this month from a “Secret Santa” get-together with friends to our team holiday party. When it comes to a casual holiday party, do just that — keep it casual! But up-level your ensemble by adding a festive touch, like a blazer. And since the dress code is casual, wear flats, but make them fun like my Schutz studded mules.
Outfit 3: Dressy Holiday Party
I have to admit, these are my favorite kinds of holiday parties. Who else loves a reason to get dressed up? This red jumpsuit from Zara is a favorite of mine and perfect for this occasion (Just look at that bow!). Pair it with a strappy sandal, a fun clutch in gold and a wrap to keep you warm.
