“A Style Coach. What exactly is that?” you may ask. I work with women who are in various stages of their lives, and I don’t just find clothes for them that best flatter their figure, style and lifestyle. While that is a big part of my job, I also coach women to dive deep into what exactly it is that is holding them back from looking and feeling their best. I have heard many stories, insecurities confessed, and I find it an honor to be a part of their journey. No matter if my client is a CEO of a major company or a stay-at-home mom (a very important job as well), their stories always seem to have a common thread: the need for more confidence in how they show up in the world, and the ability to foster it.
I often get asked how it is that I am so confident. And while I have my own insecurities that come to the surface every now and then, over the years I have found what makes me feel and look my best. They can be summed up like this: good skin, self-care, and feeding the soul!
Here are my top tips for looking and feeling your best: (And if you follow me on Instagram HERE, you see that I am committed to incorporating them often!)
Exfoliation is Everything. Even out your skin before you get any sun (whether it’s real or a spray tan) using a dry skin brush. When you remove the dead skin cells it will allow the new, glowing skin to shine; thus, whatever sun you get will look more natural and last longer. Read this article HERE & then incorporate some of the dry skin brush techniques into your skincare routine.

Schedule Time in your Calendar for Self Care. I am a big believer that if it’s not scheduled it won’t happen. Self care means working out, taking a hot bath, reading a book, or even just taking 5 minutes to yourself to decompress and take some deep breaths. Remember self care is not selfish; it is a non-negotiable, vital part of being a healthy woman.
Infuse Small Things into your Day that Keep you Healthy. It’s all about baby steps. Try things like taking daily probiotics, drinking hot lemon water every morning, sprinkling turmeric on your eggs or veggies (natural anti-inflammatory), or having a mantra that you say in your head anytime you need to relax. (My personal favorite that I learned from a mentor of mine: I am peace. Say this in your head while taking deep breaths. Great to do anywhere!).
Get Regular Facials. A facial doesn’t just happen on a spa day. There are numerous medical spas that boast wonderful facial treatments like dermaplaning, chemical peels, and so much more that do not take more than 30–40 minutes a month! That time you carve out for yourself will help you feel more confident, and will give you more gorgeous skin so that you don’t have to wear as much makeup. If you are on a tight budget, try doing a weekly face mask at home based on your skincare needs.

Rediscover your Creativity. I often see that when I work with clients on their wardrobes they become inspired and realize how much they actually enjoy being creative with their outfits and wardrobe. They might not be into fashion and style, but taking that time to focus on themselves and to use a part of their brain that perhaps hasn’t been used in awhile is always fun! Dive deep into what truly lights you up and inspires you, and then do it! It can be something you loved doing when you were younger that you haven’t had time to do in years due to raising a family, having a career, taking care of loved ones, etc. Find that activity, and make it a priority.
Looking and feeling your best is also about staying active, whether it’s a run outside, a spin class or yoga. I know how important it is to feel confident in activewear which is why I have created a guide to help you find the best fitting activewear for your body type. Join the Society HERE to shop it!
