Workout Chic

I’m curious…

Do you ever feel like a frump in your work out attire?  Or perhaps you don’t even care what you wear to work out in, because ‘hey at least you’re working out’!

Well believe it or not, that was my mentality up until recently.

My morning routine consisted of …roll out of bed, throw on a sports bra & oversized tee, some leggings, and I’m done!

While that ‘works’, it didn’t make me feel great when working out and it definitely didn’t inspire me to hit the gym!  So I got to thinking, if our everyday clothing can bring us confidence and pleasure throughout our day, why not incorporate that same philosophy into our workouts?!

In comes my sister, Chelsey.

She has always taken pride in her workout attire.. she is good about thinking about what clothing worked for the various work outs she was in to (pure barre, spin, running)…and you know what she works out almost everyday!  Of course she exercises to be healthy, and to feel good, but she & I both really believe her attire gives her that extra push to hit the gym (and not the snooze button) before work daily.

I decided to give this philosophy a spin and hit up Target and lulu lemon to purchase some cute, yet practical work out clothing for myself.

I tell people that I started practicing yoga so I had an excuse to wear Lululemon–and I’m only half kidding! Feeling good in workout attire really has made a difference for me, though. When you’re starting something new, something you don’t necessarily feel comfortable with, it helps to feel your best. And, as you well know, I’m now a yoga addict!

Thank you so much Carla Jean! You are 100% right–it does give you the confidence and push to try a new activity, or just hit the gym! Glad you are enjoying being a stylish yogi! :)
